Sanmen-2 Polar Crane Lifted Into Place

3 Jul (NucNet): The polar crane for China’s Sanmen-2 nuclear unit being built in Zhejiang province has been lifted into place, the State Nuclear Power Technology Corporation (SNPTC) said. The lifting took place over two days and was completed successfully. SNPTC said the putting in place of the polar crane allows for preparation to begin for installing the ceiling of the containment building. Sanmen-2 is a Westinghouse AP1000 nuclear unit.
