Romania Waits For Outcome Of Cernavodă Negotiations With China’s CGN

8 Mar (NucNet): Negotiations on the details of an investors’ agreement for the construction of Romania’s planned Cernavodă-3 and -4 nuclear reactor units are continuing, with the majority of the share capital in the joint venture to be owned by China General Nuclear Power Corporation (CGN), Romeo Urjan, president of the Romanian Association of Nuclear Energy (AREN), told NucNet.

Mr Urjan said the investors’ agreement remains “an essential milestone” and will set the foundations for a more detailed timeframe for the start of construction.
