20 Sep (NucNet): The issue of the high capital cost of new nuclear power plants, argued by those opposed to nuclear, is largely a bogus one because costs fall by around 30% when a series of units is built and economies of scale come into play, Kirill Komarov, first deputy chief executive officer of Russian state nuclear energy corporation Rosatom said in an article on the Euractiv website.
