The new assistant energy secretary for nuclear energy Rita Baranwal wants to see a new nuclear power plant, most likely a micro-reactor or small modular reactor, built in the US by 2025.In an interview on the US Department of Energy’s website Ms Baranwal said the US needs to show the rest of the world that it is still a powerhouse in the nuclear energy industry.
