9 Mar (NucNet): Bernard Bigot, former administrator-general of France’s Commissariat à l'énergie atomique et aux énergies alternatives (CEA), has been confirmed as the next director-general of the International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor (Iter) Organisation, succeeding Osamu Motojima, a statement said. The decision was taken on 5 March 2015 at an extraordinary meeting of the Iter Council. Mr Bigot will serve a five-year term.
