EDF Energy’s Peter Prozesky Appointed CEO Of Wano

23 Nov (NucNet): The World Association of Nuclear Operators (Wano) has appointed Peter Prozesky of EDF Energy as its new chief executive officer. Mr Prozesky will officially take up the position on 1 January 2016, replacing current CEO Ken Ellis. Mr Prozesky has 38 years of experience in the power generation business, starting his career with Eskom in 1979, at the Koeberg nuclear power station in South Africa. In 1989, he went on sabbatical to the nuclear division of Taiwan Power Company, studying management techniques and plant operations. On his return from Taiwan, Mr Prozesky worked at Eskom until 2005 in positions including site vice-president at Koeberg. In 2005, he joined British Energy, which later became EDF Energy, as head of operations (East). He later occupied roles including head of supply chain and outage management, and chief nuclear officer responsible for corporate oversight at the Sizewell, Torness and Heysham B nuclear power stations in the UK. In 2013, Mr Prozesky became continuous improvement and operations support director at EDF Energy.
