Construction at site in northeast of country could begin as soon as 2027
France’s national agency for managing radioactive waste (Andra) has applied to the ministry of ecological transition for the creation of a project for the long-term storage of high-level radioactive waste from nuclear power plants and other reactor facilities, the agency said on Tuesday (17 January).
