Joint statement says retiring coal plants are ideal locations for SMRs
The US must expand nuclear energy by building new reactors at old fossil fuel-fired power plant sites – a policy that can help president Joe Biden ensure reliable clean energy and high-paying jobs for working families across the country, the American Nuclear Society and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers said in a joint statement.
