EU-wide development projects can benefit from nuclear technology, says Foratom
Ninety-three European associations, including the Brussels-based nuclear industry group Foratom, have called on EU institutions to create an ambitious Horizon Europe programme and treat research and innovation (R&I) as a priority under the bloc’s next long-term budget for 2021-2027. In a joint statement released today the signatories, largely industry associations from across a range of sectors, called for an increased allocation of at least €120bn to the Horizon Europe programme to help Europe address challenges. Horizon Europe is an R&I programme that will succeed Horizon 2020 with a planned €100bn budget.
