State-owned British Nuclear Fuels (BNFL) has confirmed its directors are proposing to sell British Nuclear Group, but has emphasised the ultimate decision will be made by the board after full consultation with staff, unions, the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority (NDA) and the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry, Alan Johnson.
