Canada Successfully Defuels Slowpoke-2 Ahead Of Decommissioning

All fuel from Canada’s Slowpoke-2 research reactor has been successfully removed and transported to the US, owner and operator Saskatchewan Research Council (SRC) said.

SRC said the decommissioning process for Slowpoke-2 began in December 2017 under strict supervision by the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission.
