Cold War Radwaste Cleanup Costs Have Risen Nearly $1 Billion In 7 Years, Says GAO

The estimated future cost to clean up sites contaminated by nuclear waste from the Cold War era has risen by nearly $1bn in the past seven years, according to a report released on Tuesday (17 October) by the US Government Accountability Office.
