Energy minister Angus Taylor has not ruled out nuclear for Australia.
Public conviction that wind and solar energy can and will meet all of Australia’s future clean energy needs more cheaply and effectively than nuclear energy are misplaced, a former scientist at Australia’s national science agency has said.In a written submission to a government inquiry on nuclear energy Dr Tom Biegler said perceptions of progress towards the so-called clean energy transition are magnified by grossly underestimating future electrical energy needs.
