Erdoğan Says First Akkuyu Reactor Could Start Up Next Year

The first unit of the $20bn (€19.6bn) Akkuyu nuclear power station supplied by Russia’s state nuclear corporation Rosatom in southern Turkey is expected to be commissioned as early as 2023, president Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said.
