Project completion and commissioning is scheduled for July 2020
Construction and installation work at the €380m ISF-2 interim spent nuclear fuel processing and storage facility at the Chernobyl nuclear power station in Ukraine is about 99% complete, the Ukrainian state company that manages the site said.SSE Chernobyl NPP said cold testing using dummy fuel is scheduled to be completed at the beginning of October. This will be followed with hot testing using real fuel, which is scheduled to begin at the end of November 2019 and will take three months. Project completion and commissioning is scheduled for July 2020.
