More nuclear and renewables ‘bring electricity prices down and drive fossil fuels out’
The Brussels-based nuclear group nucleareurope has welcomed both the bloc’s electrification action plan and revised EU emissions trading system (ETS) proposals, both of which it said have the potential to accelerate a shift to electrification, reduce CO2 emissions and ultimately strengthen the competitiveness of Europe’s industries.
