Long-awaited "consensus talks" on German nuclear policy started in Bonn today (Tuesday) - one day after Chancellor Gerhard Schröder announced that draft legislation committing Germany both to phasing out nuclear power and to an early ban on reprocessing nuclear fuel would be postponed for several weeks.
