Project will pave way for ‘limitless supply’ of low-carbon electricity
The UK government has announced that the West Burton A power station site in Nottinghamshire, central England, has been selected as the home for Spherical Tokamak for Energy Production (Step), the UK’s prototype fusion energy plant which aims to be built by 2040 and could be the first in the world.
