Government In New Talks With South Korea’s Kepco On New Nuclear At Wylfa
The Wylfa site has two gas-cooled reactor units that were permanently shut down in 2012 and 2015.
UK nuclear energy and renewables minister Andrew Bowie is expected to have a ministerial meeting with representatives of the South Korean state-owned nuclear power company Korea Electric Power Corporation (Kepco) to continue talks about the construction of two APR1400 units at the Wylfa site in Anglesey, Wales, according to a press report on 12 May.
