The UK government should publish a single, formalised statement of its national policy and strategy for nuclear safety, an International Atomic Energy Agency team of experts said.The Integrated Regulatory Review Service (IRRS) team, which on 25 October concluded an 11-day mission to review the country’s regulatory safety framework, said the UK is committed to strengthening its regulatory framework for nuclear and radiation safety, but identified areas that would benefit from improvement.
