PM says move will ‘strengthen electricity supply, reduce energy dependence and guarantee production of low-carbon, low-cost power’
Belgium has signed an agreement with nuclear operator Engie to extend the use of two of the country’s commercial nuclear reactors by 10 years after Russia’s invasion of Ukraine prompted the governing coalition to rethink plans for security of supply.
