Hungary To Host Major Conference In April
The International Conference on Individual Monitoring of Ionising Radiation, to be held in Budapest, Hungary from 19-24 April 2020, will cover all aspects of individual monitoring of ionising radiation including standards, assessment and new developments, organisers said.

The conference, to be held at the Danubius Hotel Helia, is jointly organised every five years by the European Radiation Dosimetry Group (EURADOS) and Hungary’s Centre for Energy Research.

Conference chair Tamas Pazmandi said the conference will examine new developments in external dosimetry; new developments in internal dosimetry; individual monitoring in medicine, research and industry; dose assessment for exposure in workplaces and homes; dose assessment in emergency exposure situations; and international and European standards and recommendations.

He said the conference includes a scientific programme, a number of refresher courses and keynote lectures. The submission for the submission of abstracts for poster presentations is 15 February 2020.

The preliminary programme and registration details (prices range from €450 to €750) are online.
