IAEA Announces Agreement On ‘Full Scope’ Of Water Discharge Safety Review
Hundreds of tanks at Fukushima-Daiichi are nearly full and will reach their capacity in early 2024.
The International Atomic Energy Agency and Japan have signed an agreement setting out the full scope of the agency’s safety review of the discharge of treated water from the Fukushima-Daiichi nuclear power station, paving the way for “decades of independent monitoring, sampling and analysis at the site and at sea”.
