Nuclear station was irreparably damaged by 2011 earthquake and tsunami
The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) is in Japan this week to conduct marine sampling near the Fukushima-Daiichi nuclear power station. This visit forms part of the agency’s broader initiative to contribute to safety reviews of discharges of treated water into the sea from the facility.
