Developing countries looking to reactors for clean hydrogen and desalination
The International Atomic Energy Agency’s Atoms4NetZero initiative, announced at the United Nations Cop27 climate conference in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt, will help member states model and measure the contribution of nuclear power to their net zero energy transitions by assessing the potential of nuclear to be used “beyond the grid” in areas such as clean hydrogen production and desalination.
