Belarus has “significantly strengthened” its nuclear safety regulatory framework over the last five years, including emergency preparedness and response, however challenges remain to be addressed related to the adaptation of regulatory inspections and inspector training for the operational phase of the Belarusian nuclear power station, an International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) expert team found.
