Israel To Consider Plans For First Commercial Nuclear Power Plant

A proposal is being considered to build Israel’s first commercial nuclear power station near Shivta in the south of the country, although doubts remain over local opposition and the country’s non-signatory status to the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT).
