Tokyo Electric Power Company (Tepco) has confirmed it has no plans to build new nuclear power plants in Japan, but is instead focused on restarting idled reactors, particularly at the world’s largest nuclear power station at Kashiwazaki Kariwa and at Higashi Dori.
