A US district judge has ruled that the Tennessee Valley Authority’s decision to call off a deal to sell the Bellefonte nuclear station in Alabama to a company called Nuclear Development for $111m was lawful, but ordered the utility to give back the $22m downpayment made for the facility, plus interest.
