The World Association of Nuclear Operators (WANO) has said it is starting to talk to Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan about their plans for commercial nuclear power plants because “they are indicating they are on a path to signing contracts shortly”.The organisation’s chief executive officer Peter Prozesky told NucNet that new nuclear countries bring unique challenges and that for the first time in many years the industry is growing in many countries.
