The UK Labour Party promised in its manifesto for next month’s general election that it will build new nuclear power plants needed for energy security and revive the Wylfa Newydd project in Anglesey, north Wales.“The Tories have let down the people of Ynys Môn (Anglesey) by failing to deliver the Wylfa project,” the manifesto says. “Labour will work with people on the island to maximise its potential for new nuclear energy, alongside investment in renewables.”
