The Philippines will prepare a detailed plan for the International Atomic Energy Agency on how it could embark on a nuclear power programme, energy secretary Alfonso Cusi said. “We are set to meet with the IAEA to discuss further collaboration efforts,” Mr Cusi said, according to local press reports. The IAEA confirmed today that a meeting had been scheduled for next month. The agency said the Philippines is developing an action plan and the first meeting to discuss an “Integrated Work Plan” between the IAEA and the Philippines will be held next month.
