New CEO For E.ON Sweden

28 Sep (NucNet): E.ON Sweden’s deputy chief executive officer Hakan Buskhe is to succeed Lars Frithiof as CEO from 1 January 2008.

Mr Frithiof, 61, is retiring. He joined E.ON Sweden, then called Sydkraft, in 1988 as chief financial officer and has been CEO since 1998. He oversaw Sydkraft’s integration into E.ON.

Mr Buskhe, 44, joined E.ON Sweden in 1996 from Schenker AG of Germany. He is also president of the company’s electricity production business area.

E.ON Sweden is one of Scandinavia's largest energy companies. It is also the parent company of OKG, which operates the three-unit Oskarshamn nuclear power plant.
