Policy says lifetime operating extensions would be welcome
Finland’s government said it would welcome the extension of existing nuclear power plant licences on condition the country’s nuclear regulator supported any applications.Finland’s new centre-left coalition government made the comment in a detailed policy document released on Tuesday. The document said the government plans to “move towards carbon neutrality by 2035”, one of the fastest targets set around the world.
