28 Sept (NucNet): The US Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) yesterday opened a two-day hearing on Southern Nuclear Operating’s application to build two new nuclear units at its Vogtle plant in eastern Georgia, the first such hearing on a new nuclear power plant held in more than 30 years.
