Final approvals for licence renewal expected by end of June
The two-unit Diablo Canyon nuclear power station in California is safe to operate for an additional 20 years, the US Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) has said, marking a key step toward licensing the facility beyond its original shutdown timeline.
