The US Nuclear Regulatory Commission has issued a confirmatory order to the Wolf Creek Nuclear Operating Company, documenting actions to implement programmes designed to prevent “wilful misconduct by employees”, a statement said.Following an investigation at the Wolf Creek nuclear power plant in Burlington, Kansas, the NRC determined that a maintenance worker and a supervisor falsified a record regarding the cleaning and inspection of the reactor’s control rod drive mechanisms (CDRMs) on 31 October2016.
