All Japan’s reactors were shut down following the Fukushima disaster and are not allowed to restart until they have passed safety checks.
Nuclear-related expenditures by electric power utilities in Japan declined to JPY1,764.6bn (€12.4bn, $12.9bn) in fiscal year 2021, down by 16% from the previous year.
