An agreement announced at the UN Cop26 climate conference in Glasgow, Scotland, means Romania has the potential to deploy the first small modular reactors in Europe by 2028 and become a catalyst for SMR development in the region and a base for supporting operation of this new technology in other countries, US reactor developer NuScale said.
