7 May (NucNet): French uranium mining and nuclear fuel group Orano and Ukrainian nuclear operator Energoatom have signed a contract to assess the feasibility of reprocessing spent fuel assemblies from Ukrainian VVER-1000 nuclear reactors at Orano’s La Hague facility.
