Germany-based Gesellschaft für Nuklear-Service (GNS) has received an order worth over €100m from utility PreussenElektra for the delivery of 62 Castor V/19 transport and storage casks for the single-unit Brokdorf and Grohnde nuclear power stations. GNS said the casks will be used for the storage of spent fuel elements from the two pressurised water reactor units, which will be in operation until the end of 2021.
