‘Quick Evacuation’ Kept Exposure Low After Fukushima-Daiichi, Says NEA

9 May (NucNet): The quick evacuation of 78,000 people living within 20 km of the Fukushima-Daiichi nuclear plant and the sheltering of those living between 20 and 30 km from the plant meant that “health-significant population exposures” were avoided following the March 2011 nuclear accident, the Nuclear Energy Agency has said.
