Regulator Puts Flamanville Units Under Increased Surveillance
The Flamanville nuclear power station in northern France.
French nuclear regulator ASN said it had put state-controlled utility EDF’s Flamanville-1 and -2 nuclear power plants in the north of the country under increased surveillance following a series of shortcomings in maintenance and contractor oversight.

ASN said it had summoned the station’s director and ordered him to submit an action plan to improve plant operation.
