Country planning shift to new reactors, including SMRs, to replace ageing fleet
The UK’s nuclear output has fallen to its lowest level since 1982 with a 9% drop in 2021, due to retirements and outages at the country’s ageing reactors, analysis by Carbon Brief shows.
