Russia Completes Testing Of Inner Containment

Workers at the Leningrad 2-2 VVER-1200 nuclear power plant under construction in western Russia have completed testing of the inner containment.The facility said in a statement that the tests had confirmed there were no defects.Alexander Belyaev, chief engineer at Leningrad 2-2, said the inner containment is 1.2 metres thick and made of reinforced concrete with a carbon steel lining.
