Russia To Start Work On Construction Documentation For Xudabao
The Moscow-based Kurchatov Institute is to prepare documentation needed for the construction licence for Units 3 and 4 of the planned Xudabao nuclear power station in Liaoning Province, northeast China.

Russian state nuclear corporation Rosatom said the documentation will be ready by mid-2021 under a contract from the ASE group of companies, Rosatom’s engineering division. The contract is worth about €2.7m.

In April Rosatom said it expected construction of Xudabao-3 to begin in October 2021 and of Xudabao-4 in August 2022. In June the two countries signed a general contract for the units.
