Saskatchewan To Deploy First SMR In 2030s, Strategy Says

The Canadian province of Saskatchewan has included the development of small modular reactor technology in its 2030 growth strategy. The Next Decade of Growth 2020-2030 plan says: "Incorporating nuclear power through small modular reactors (SMRs) into Saskatchewan's energy mix could provide SaskPower [local utility] with the ability to generate up to 80% of the province's electricity through zero-emission sources when combined with renewable power sources,"
