Government plans to deliver nuclear reactors ‘lack clarity’ and unlikely to contribute to net zero goal
Despite pledging £215m (€252m, $271m) to advance small modular reactors (SMRs) in the UK, government policy on the role of the reactors in the country’s energy mix remains unclear and the case for some of the key benefits they offer “is not yet proven”, MPs have warned.
