Government needs to take public stake in any new-build reactor projects, says Unite
One of the UK’s biggest trade unions has criticised “years of time-wasting and underinvestment by ministers” in nuclear energy and said if the government wants to be taken seriously, “we need to see far more detail and clarity” on plans unveiled this week for a major expansion of nuclear power.
