UK Rejoins Horizon, But Announces Plans For Separate Nuclear Fusion Strategy Backed By £650 Million
The UK still hosts Europe’s leading fusion laboratory – the Joint European Torus (Jet) in Oxfordshire.
The UK is rejoining the European Union’s £85bn (€98bn, $106bn) scientific research programme Horizon, but has decided not to participate in the bloc’s nuclear research alliance Euratom.
